Community Guidelines
Business Women’s Group (BWG) is a community-driven space for building bold portfolios, shaping meaningful platforms, and leading with purpose —in a landscape where leadership and business are shaped by complex, evolving realities.
To help us foster a genuinely safe, inclusive, and empowering environment, we ask all members to uphold the following guidelines:
1. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination or Hate
Any racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or other harmful behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Prioritize Privacy and Safety
No doxxing, stalking, or sharing personal information without consent. Violations of member safety will result in immediate removal.
3. Honor Confidentiality
What’s shared in the group stays in the group. Don’t record, republish, or share screenshots without permission.
4. Engage with Leadership — Not Partisanship
We recognize that leadership and business do not exist in a vacuum. Current events and structural realities impact us all.
This is a space for purpose-driven building and leadership growth. We welcome conversations about culture, leadership, and systemic dynamics — when approached with respect, curiosity, and an intent to learn and lead better.
Partisan political debates or campaigning are not part of this space — but leadership-relevant discussions about the realities shaping our work and lives are encouraged.
5. Practice Compassionate Accountability
We’re all learning. If harm occurs, accountability comes first. If someone gets something wrong, correct with compassion — and if you cause harm, own it, learn, and grow. Compassion does not mean excusing harm or asking harmed parties to soften for others’ comfort.
6. Lead with Kindness and Respect
Treat others with empathy and respect, even when perspectives differ. Curiosity is encouraged; hostility is not.
7. No Promotions or Pitches
This isn’t a space for selling services, promoting paid offerings, or cold-pitching members. Those opportunities may come later through a curated directory.
8. Ask Questions, Offer Support
Engage meaningfully. This community thrives when we lift each other up and share generously from our lived experiences.
By participating in this group, you commit to upholding these values and helping create a space where people of all backgrounds feel seen, supported, and safe.
